This cabin over the water is the perfect spot for avid fishermen, small families, or a romantic getaway. The house sits literally on top of the dock! There is a large deck great for sunning, dining, or just taking in the amazing view. There is a picnic table on the deck as well as lots of chairs, sunbathing lounges, and foldable chairs inside the storage room inside. On the smaller deck dedicated to cooking, you will find a propane grill for cooking your day's catch. Inside the 500 sq ft cottage, there is a living room area with 32 inch flat screeen HDTV with apx 15 channels. You can raise the Queen Murphy pull down bed if you would like more floor space during the day and lower it for a comfortable nights sleep. If you are bringing kids or a second couple, there is a Queen pull out sofa for additional sleeping space. The kitchen is small, but adequate. There is a hotplate, fridge, microwave and sink. 2 coffee pots,a standard one as well as a Keurig. No stove/oven or dishwasher because let's be honest, with this view and setting, you are going to want to cook most of your meals out on the grill! The bathroom has a full size shower (no tub). Just a short walk downstairs and you are on the dock where you can tie up 2 boats, slip will hold a 7ft wide boat and 22ft long under the covered area and one to the open part of the dock. In addition, if you wish to trailer your own boat, their is a boat ramp within our community for your convenience to launch and the house offers ample space in the driveway and side street for your trailer in addition to multiple vehicle parking. The dock area also offers a waterside fire pit with a shaded sitting area for all day relaxation and mini-frig for afternoon beverages. This is our home away from home. My son and I enjoy every visit to the lake and it’s always hard when it’s time to leave. Our cozy 300 square foot studio is the perfect pick for 2 quests. Once you walk in, you will quickly feel the stress of the trip or life simply melting away. Tucked away in a peaceful and lovely part of Smith Mountain Lake, this studio has everything you need to simply enjoy your get away from today's fast-paced world. While there might not be the lake views from the room, it only takes few steps to BREATH TAKING VIEWS of the lake and the mountains. We used the studio for personal use between Nov 2020 and Jan 2021. It was wonderful to stay there off season. We walked, biked and went fishing a lot. --OUTDOOR AND INDOOR ACTIVITIES-- Boating, water skiing, wake-boarding, riding personal watercraft, and sailing are common activities as is fishing, especially for striped bass.
